Eco Friendly Plus Sleeping Green!

It’s important for me as the Green Travel Girl to make the best choices when it comes to where I travel and what I want to see and show you, my audience. Everything from the hotel I choose, to the air I breathe and food I eat. It all has to be the greenest I can possibly find. There is a lot things happening to our earth that we can only relate to the chemicals and fumes in the masses we subject our environment to, and in the ways we choose to live our lives. And for me, there is nothing like laying my head my down at night after a hard days’ work of promoting eco-friendliness.
Many hotels and resorts around the globe are taking this crisis of our environmental issues seriously and have been going green for the past six years. Amongst one of the big-names hotel chains doing great eco-friendly things in their hotels is the Hyatt hotel. With 478 hotels in 45 countries, the Hyatt is doing it big and doing it in a green way. The have what they call the “green team,” and that teams job is to ensure they are keeping the environment as clean as they can and the hotel as green as it can be. From the heating, lighting, food, water, and even laundry soap is eco-friendly.
Not only does the Hyatt chain have a superb line of eco-friendly hotels, but they have won numerous awards for doing so. Anything from being voted at one of the “Top 75 Hotels Worldwide,” to an “Environmental Achievement Award,” to having the “Green Lodging Michigan Steward certification from the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth in 2010.” The Hyatt Hotel and Resort chain is making sure they can offer a single person, a family, and even the businessman have a great and green stay.
I would recommend checking out the Hyatt website, www.Hyatt.com/ so you can check it out for yourself and see what you think. I, Green Travel Girl, am sold 100% and will be staying in one soon.
